Seo Woo to Hollywood?
Seo Woo, (Paju opening on 10/29), recently revealed that she’s received calls from directors in the US and Netherlands about appearing in their films. She’s yet to select a project, but it looks like she may be making an appearance in a Western film soon. She’s already received great reviews for her role in Paju.
She made heads turn in Gong Hyo Jin‘s Crush and Blush, nabbing multiple nominations for various best new actress awards. Her drama, Tamra, the Island, also brought much acclaim and had a cult following, even with the low ratings.
The 24 year old, Seo Woo, was recently seen as a part of Lee Seung Hwan’s 20th anniversary album, “Hwantastic Friends.” The photo above is capturing her Audrey Hepburn-ish transformation.
There have been much activity and talks of Korean actors appearing in Western projects. Lee Byung Hun appeared in the summer blockbuster G.I. Joe this year and Daniel Henney is currently in the CBS series, Three Rivers. (I haven’t seen Three Rivers, but even a great show has an upward climb, competing against Sunday Night Football.) Most recently, reports have come out about Jung Ryu Won and Kwon Sang Woo in talks with Hollywood studios. (Kwon Sang Woo’s possible role in The Green Hornet as Kato, has now been cast with the Taiwanese actor, Jay Chou.)
