A Delicious cast for Pasta

November 13, 2009

Holy moly, that’s pretty. Lee Seon Kyun and Gong Hyo Jin have been confirmed as leads in the 2010 drama Pasta. This will be Gong Hyo Jin‘s first drama since 2007’s Thank You, and we recently saw Lee Seon Kyun in the quirky drama, Triple. Rounding out the cast is Honey Lee (Partner) and Alex (Clazziquai) in his first drama role.

Pasta tells the story of aspiring chefs working in an Italian restaurant. Lee Seon Kyun‘s character, Choi Hyun Wook, attends chef classes in Italy, and returns to Korea, working his way up from the bottom to become head chef. Gong Hyo Jin plays a Seo Yu Kyung, an aspiring chef, and Honey Lee takes on the role of top female chef, Oh Se Young. Alex‘s Kim San plays a foodie who frequents the restaurant.

How can you not drool over this cast? Lee Seon Kyun and Gong Hyo Jin are 2 of my favorite actors. I don’t know much about Honey Lee as an actress, but she seemed to have done fairly well in Partner, as well as being gorgeous beyond belief. And Alex! He makes me swoon. Pasta is in the running to air after Queen Seondeok, which is another reason to yearn for the sageuk to come to an end.
