Family Outing comes to an end

January 5, 2010

It finally comes to an end. After rumors of leaving members (namely Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Hyori) and a new season, the upcoming recording on 1/11 will be the final trip for “Family Outing”. It looks like all the member have decided to leave the show and not return for the resurrection, “Family Outing Season Two”. The final trip will include all members, past and present, including Lee Chun Hee (yay!), Park Ye Jin, and Park Shi Yeon.

Yoo Jae Suk has decided to get a breather from his busy schedule with his first child on the way. Kim Soo Ro will be focused on his new high school drama, God of Study, and the singers will focus on their music career, with Kim Jong Gook and Lee Hyori coming out with new albums during the first quarter.

I’m not particularly sad because I didn’t watch this too religiously. Does this mean that ratings for 1n2d will increase even more? They already broke the 40% mark with the first episode of the new year. (BTW, I’ll have some shortened recaps up soon…) It’ll be interesting to see what the variety-show starved SBS will conjure up with the exit of it best rated variety program.

Ooo~ Ever since Chun Hee & Ye Jin left the show, I pretty much stopped watching it; so when I heard it was ending, I was kind of glad–because I immediately thought, “I bet they’ll bring back the original cast members!!!” Woo woo!

Although I also read that Yoo Jae Suk decided to stay on for a new season of Family Outing, assembling new members & with a slightly different premise.
